Snapshot Saturday – Dec. 8

Happy Saturday!  I hope your weekend is off to a great start!

Last night, I met up with some college friends, and we went to Connolly’s Pub and Restaurant for dinner and drinks.

This Magners was my first cider since studying abroad in London, and it tasted delicious.

My sister Margaret and her boyfriend came to the city to see The Nutcracker, and the stayed the night; we ate breakfast at Cafeteria this morning.

Monterey eggs with black eye peas, avocado, jack cheese, and cherry tomato salsa.  Plus a half-order of pancakes for the table.

FYI, that’s sweet whipped cream, not butter.  We also made a quick pit stop at Crumbs for two cupcakes—red velvet and peanut butter cup.

Penn Station went all-out for the holidays.

Instagrammed—for the #HolidayADay Challenge—of course.

Plans for the rest of the day include relaxing, completing a strength training workout, and biking during the SU game tonight.  Here we go, Orange!

  1. oh man that egg dish looks amazing, hope you are having a great Saturday!

  2. Why do u tease me so?! Can u grab me a white hot chocolate and monkey business?!

    • Kat, no lie, we *almost* go a white hot chocolate. The red velvet cupcake was a no-brainer, and we went back and forth between the peanut butter cup and white hot chocolate. One day … 😉

  3. Dude! That egg looks so yummy! I’m obsessed with egg whites and salsa these days. Lay it on a bed of spinach leaves and call me done.

  4. Ordering a side of pancakes for the table to share is my FAVOURITE thing to do!! Pancakes are always one of my top options when I’m making menu picks, so when we do the side, I feel like I can get my fix, but still feel free to branch into trying something new as well.
And you know how I feel about cupcakes. Oh boy!! Those look FABULOUS!! Ps. You NEED to take me to your favourite NYC cupcake place when I’m there. Telling you this now so you have 11 months to decide on which place is the best. 😉

    • Ordering a side of pancakes was one of the best choices we made. It was perfect because we each had two, plus our protein-filled dishes, so it was a win-win. 🙂 And Chelsie, I don’t know which cupcake place is my favorite–I don’t discriminate! 😉

  5. MMMMMM. I would have eaten all the pancakes if I was at your table LOL. Looks like a great weekend starter to me! 😉

    • I made sure to give breakfast companions theirs first … or else I would’ve eaten the whole order! I might’ve even said, “I could eat eight more of these!” 😉

  6. Yum, breakfast looks amazing!

  7. Looks like a gorgeous weekend! Those cupcakes look delicious, and are two of my favorites!
